Nice example of Brazilian innovation in the creative sector: Não do Brasil shoes, complete with a "Legende du jeune Adilson", a barefooted youngster from Minas Gerais who taught himself how to make hip shoes after his mother kept saying "não" each time he wanted to buy a pair. One blogger wonders "if it's really Brazilian or just marketed as Brazilian and... made in China !" - a sign of Brazil's great name. Não's international expansion doesn't quite fit the framework though: they seem to have started in France and moved into a variety of European cities - only Lisbon is something of a natural market. Then again, they may just be French entrepreneurs with a connection to Minas Gerais - this was hard to find out online...
